That’s what Jack said to us after we put him down for bed last night and were leaving his room… ‘night guys. He’s such a funny little guy.

Jack was being so quiet in Amelia’s room today while I fixed lunch, so I snuck up on him to take a peek. He was sitting there “reading” books. He had the Dr. Seuss ABC book and had turned to the page for C that shows a camel on the ceiling. It was so funny to see him turn the book around and around over and over. He had to turn it upside to see the camel right side up, then turn it back the right way so the opposite page was the right side up. Over and over, it was hilarious.
And I wanted to share a couple of scrapbook pages I made recently. I am taking a class from Jessica Sprague to better learn my newly acquired Photoshop Elements. I made these 2 pages from the first week of her class. They were premade pages, but I still like how they turned out!
Knock, Knock January 23, 2009
Amelia thinks it’s funny to tell knock knock jokes. But she has a slightly different take on them. First of all, if I’m the one starting the joke it goes something like this:
Me: Knock, Knock
Amelia: Who’s there?
Me: Boo
Amelia: Boo what?
Me: (I say the punchline anyways even though she kind of missed the point of the joke) You don’t have to cry about it.
We just think the “Boo what” line is absolutely hilarious!
Then there’s the version when she starts the joke:
Amelia: Knock, knock
Me: Who’s there?
Amelia: {insert the name of whatever her eyes land upon in the room she’s in} For example, shoe
Me: Shoe who?
Amelia: You don’t have to cry about it.
This morning was a pretty funny time of knock knock joke telling around here.
It’s freezing! January 22, 2009
Literally, as I write this, it is 32 degrees outside! I think it got down to 26 or so last night. They said on the news last night that it hasn’t been this cold in 7 years! Today is a day off from the Y, so I think we’ll just spend it huddled up inside! Although I really need to run to Target to get a couple of more shirts for Jack and some bananas.
On a totally unrelated note… I thought I’d mention how I’ve decided to quit paper scrapbooking altogether. A little over a year ago, I got really burned out on scrapping. I didn’t have any motivation for about 6 months. Then one day, I looked at some old scrapbooks and really enjoyed reading the stories I had captured, so I decided it was high time to start scrapping again. BUT, I had no motivation to pull out a bunch of paper supplies and mess up my desk anymore than it already was. So I decided to try digital scrapping again. I’ve still only done a handful of pages since then, but a couple of weeks ago, I gave all of my paper scrapping supplies away… and I haven’t missed them at all. So hopefully, I’ll start doing more pages and posting them here. I just bought Photoshop Elements and hope to get well acquainted with that in the near future.
Starting again January 20, 2009
I’ve been toying with the idea of starting up with the blog again. I was looking at some of my posts the last time I wrote on here, albeit infrequently, and I really enjoyed seeing those glimpses into my life and remembering some thoughts and feelings that I might have otherwise forgotten. And lately, these kids of mine have been coming with some pretty funny stuff that I don’t want to forget in my old age, lol. So here we go again. I’m going to try and post here as much as I can remember. It will most likely be boring, but it will be here nonetheless!
