He did it! July 24, 2007

Jack finally rolled over!! I set him down on his tummy last night and he just rolled right over. Well, I thought maybe I had set him to perfectly, so I rolled him back over and he struggled a bit, but finally rolled over on his own. I was determined for him to do it before his 4 month checkup! Now we’ve got to work on rolling the other way.

About a week ago we decided to switch credit cards because our Capital One card’s limit was too low for us. So I contacted BOA and they are supposed to be sending us a card with points soon. Anyway, since we’re not going to use the Capital One card anymore, we decided to spend our accumulated points. Daniel got a Bose Ipod thingy. You can set your Ipod in it and it will play the music through a speaker instead of the ear buds.

I got a photo printer just because I felt like it. Well it came today and they sent me an all-in-one printer instead. So now we’ve got to call them and see what’s up with that. I don’t need that kind of printer because I’ve already got one that works just fine. And I think Daniel has to call them because I’m not authorized to speak on the account half the time. That’s another reason we decided not to use them anymore!

Last Friday I had an eye doctor’s appointment about having surgery on my eyelid again. I was supposed to have the surgery last year at this time, but then I found out I was preggo with Mr. Jack, so I couldn’t undergo the anesthesia. Well, since it’s been so long, I had to do all of the testing again and they have to resend those results into my insurance company to make sure they’ll pay for the surgery. What a pain.

to my blog! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I started this thing! I went back and read some of my posts from last year and it’s so funny to read them. I only had Amelia and she was just 8 months old!

Nothing much is happening here. I went to the Y today, but didn’t take my normal class. For some reason I didn’t feel like it. I probably should have though because all I did was do the machines. For some reason I don’t feel like I get as good of a workout that way. Oh well.

Anyway, right now, I’m working on a scrapbook page. Maybe I’ll post it when I’m finished.

I still forget July 16, 2007

to write in this blog is what I keep forgetting! So here I am writing about nothing.

Today is my day off from the Y. I don’t like the teacher on Mondays, so I skip it. It’s nice to have a day off if I need to run errands and stuff. Today I had to wait for the refrigerator repairman to come fix our ice maker. I picked a window from 8 am until noon. And what time did he show up? 3:00!!! I called at 12:15 to see where he was and the chick on the phone told me that he was still at house #2 and I was house #4! She basically told me that the time frame windows meant nothing! Ugh, how irritating. The repairman knew what the problem was immediately. And about 1/2 hour and $200 later had completely replaced our entire ice maker! Sheesh.

Amelia is still as cute and funny as ever. She’s learning new things daily! Sometimes I wonder where she learns some of the stuff. Like last night when we got back from church, she looked up and said, “sky.” I didn’t purposely teach her that, so where did it come from? She’s amazing.

Jack is hanging out and being a good baby. I’ve committed to giving him more tummy time because he hasn’t rolled over yet. But he’s no big fan of it, that’s for sure! He doesn’t particularly care to even hold his head up. Half the time he’s either just laying their with his head down, or he’s so mad that he’s got his face buried in the blanket screaming! Oh well, I’ve really got to stop comparing him to Amelia.

Well, on a board that I’m a part of we’re having a 7 day exercise challenge and since I didn’t go to the Y today, I need to do some crunches and squats! But I think before I do that, I might work on making a new header for my blog! Later.

Just another Thursday July 12, 2007

Nothing special, just Thursday.

Yesterday, after going to the Y, I went to Michael’s, then came home via Stoneybrook Pkwy. Well, lo and behold, they decided that yesterday would be the day they would officially open the new Daniels Road! The only thing is they haven’t opened the side streets that lead over to CR 535 (the road our subdivision is on). However, they didn’t put up signs saying no left turn or anything, so I kept trying to turn and kept getting told that I couldn’t. I had to drive all the way to Stone Crest to get to 535. Oh man is that annoying!

Amelia did the cutest and funniest thing tonight. She play hit Daniel and he pretended to cry. When she saw him crying, she said, “Come here, come here” which is what he says to her anytime she’s crying and he wants to comfort her. Then she proceeded to hug him and pat him on the back. I really want to get it on video because it was hilarious!

Jack is very close to rolling over. He really can’t stand tummy time, but I make him do it anyways. Tonight, he was so close to doing it, but just couldn’t make the turn!

Tomorrow after kickboxing, I’ll be going to Walmart to pick up some pictures for a mini album that I’m doing for Amelia. It’s going to chronicle some her current favorite things.

Need to write more July 10, 2007

So I’m thinking that if I come on here every day it won’t seem like I have to write as much each time. I’ll try that and see if it works or not.

Not too terrible much happening around here. The kids are growing like crazy. Amelia will say just about anything you ask her to say (and some we don’t want her to say). She’s so funny too. And except for the occasional tantrum, she’s really very sweet! The other day, she was playing with her Dora doll and dropped her. Then she picked her up and said, “Sorry Dora.” It was so cute!

Jack is still very adorable. I’ve made a commitment to giving him more tummy time because he needs to start holding his head up more and start the rolling over process. I guess when Amelia was this age, it was easier to give her attention because their weren’t any other little ones around. Jack seems to get neglected a bit more just because Amelia needs attention too. Oh well, I’m sure he’ll turn out fine.

On another, completely pointless note, I got a new hair dryer and I’m very excited about it! So my routine before was to hang my head upside down and blow dry my hair with a round brush. Then it would be all wonky, so I’d have to use a big curling iron as a sort of flat iron to get it straight. Well, I saw this new hair dryer that is kind of a hair dryer/brush combined into one thing. It was kind of pricey and I didn’t want to buy it at first, but the above hair routine was just getting irritating and wasn’t even working. So I decided to try the new hair dryer thinking that I could return it if it didn’t work (which I fully expected it not to). Well, I just love it!! My hair is straighter than it’s ever been!! Ok enough strange excitement!
