Amelia is quite good now at giving kisses! That is, when she wants to, lol! Today she’s even been making the lip smacking sound. And when Daddy leaves in the morning, she’ll usually blow him at least one kiss. She’s also got the “uh oh” down. And she seems to use it appropriately, like when something falls down.
Things are going well around here. This past Saturday was our 6th anniversary. We had my niece, Elisabeth, come over and babysit. She was originally supposed to babysit because we were going to Daniel’s company Christmas party, but then we changed our minds and just went out to eat instead. We went to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and had some yummy crabcakes and yummy steaks.
I’m such a procrastinator! Just this morning, I went out and bought Christmas presents for the kids on the Cooley side of the family. The kids on my side of the family just get money because that’s a whole lot easier than trying to figure out what they are into playing with at any particular moment. Then I stopped by 7-11 just to get a slurpee and ended up raiding their gift card selection for all of the adults in the family. I was originally going to buy Visa gift cards for all of the adults, but you have to pay a $5 surcharge for each card that you get no matter how much money you are putting on it. I was so mad when I found that out and changed my plan totally.
As far as the new baby is concerned, things are still going well there. I have another appointment next Wednesday. I just weighed myself and I don’t think I’ve gained too much since last time. At my last appointment I had gained about 10 pounds and she wasn’t too happy. Luckily I hadn’t gained that much before then so I’m still doing ok. He’s been kicking a lot more recently too, so that’s a good thing. And the swelling hasn’t started yet. Even with all of that good stuff, I’m ready to be done being pregnant. I have a short attention span and 9 months is a long time!
That’s all from here. We’ll be heading down to Ft. Pierce for Christmas and I’ll probably update after that.
